Carpe Data was founded in 2016 on a simple thesis: the signal that carriers need to make better decisions lives outside their four walls. Ten years on, that thesis has evolved far beyond simple data enrichment into the AI-native decision platform carriers run today.
Carpe Data partners with modern insurance carriers invested in simplifying and streamlining their most difficult decisions. We bring more than ten years of proprietary data and modern AI engineering to the touchpoints that matter most, from quote to claim closure.
The company is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, with engineering and operations in Lisbon, Portugal. Over 40 carriers run Carpe in production today, including nine of the top twenty P&C carriers.
From a humble Santa Barbara office in 2016 with a revolutionary idea, the company set out to attract and hire the data and industry experts who would help transform the insurance world, one quote, policy, and claim at a time.
Two product lines, one decision spine. The Claims Reasoning Engine (CRE) and the Minerva Reasoning Engine (MRE) power every Carpe product in market today.
